Jordan Koski

Designing intelligent systems without losing sight of the people who rely on them.

I’m a Human-AI Interaction Designer with 10+ years of UX, product, and service-design experience, focused on conversational AI, agentic workflows, and AI-enabled services.

Selected AI Work

Designing how people work with intelligent systems.

My AI work explores how conversational agents, agentic workflows, and AI-enabled products move beyond model output into real interactions — where context, tools, system state, human judgment, and recovery all matter.

Each project focuses on a different part of that problem.

Design Foundation

AI is a new medium. The design problems are often familiar.

My work in AI builds on more than a decade of UX, product, and service design across complex digital services.

Long before I was designing agents and Human-AI workflows, I was working with many of the same underlying challenges: incomplete information, complex systems, competing stakeholder needs, operational constraints, handoffs between people and technology, and decisions that affect real users.

That experience shapes how I approach AI today.

The starting point

What does the person need to accomplish, how does the system actually work, and where can AI improve that relationship?

How I work

Understand the system, not just the interface.

Design decisions make more sense when the workflows, people, policies, technology, and operational constraints behind the experience are visible.

Respect established behaviour where it still matters.

New technology should not create unnecessary disruption simply because a different interaction is technically possible.

Make complexity easier to navigate — without pretending it doesn’t exist.

Good experiences help people make sense of complicated systems rather than hiding important constraints from them.

Prototype close enough to reality to learn.

Whether I’m designing a public service or an AI agent, I want to understand how the experience behaves when it encounters real data, system rules, edge cases, and failure.

Experience

A decade of design experience, now focused on Human-AI systems.

My background spans UX, product design, and service design across startups, digital products, and large public-service systems. Today, I’m applying that experience to Human-AI Interaction — designing conversational systems, agentic workflows, AI-enabled services, and the human-control patterns that make them usable and trustworthy.
